This week we have been working on the design of a peninsula environment. This new environment will be the world setting for the main interior building, creating a beautiful setting with rugged stone, cozy forest groves and breathtaking ocean views. We were really happy with how the forest turned out previously, so we've taken a bunch of these assets and refocused them into a smaller, more contained little environment. This will still allow players to explore a natural outdoor setting while keeping the scope small and achievable.
There have been some significant improvements within Unity HDRP, which has allowed us to level up all of our visuals.
We're already really happy with the quality benchmark we have been reaching, so to improve on this even further is really hype!
We'll continue to improve the fidelity of models, textures, characters, environment, and lighting while maintaining slick and optimised performance.
We aim to have this progressed further next week to show some visuals in our next post!
